Kingdom Of Doom

I picked up a copy of Kingdom of Doom by The Good, The Bad, & The Queen (GBQ) yesterday. GBQ is a new project by Damon Albarn, the guy behind the Gorillaz. I really dig the Gorillaz, so I was really looking forward to this album. So far, I am enjoying it. It reminds me of Demon Days, the last/latest album from the Gorillaz. I will try to put up a real review later.

Pandora and EMusic mash-up

Normally, I don't buy into the web 2.0 hype; mash-ups rarely get me excited. I have to say, however, that I am really digging this Pandora - EMusic one. Tying the two sites together works very well; as a song plays, the associated EMusic album page is displayed.

Welcome to my media blog.

Welcome. My name is David, and this site will be an outlet for my musings on media.

I am an avid fan of EMusic and I plan on doing at least a mini-review of my monthly downloads. For those of you who are not familiar with EMusic, I suggest you give it a visit. They are an online music store, but they are very different from iTunes or Rhapsody. They are a subscription service, but the music you buy are not encumbered by DRM. They will play on anything that can play MP3s, and they can be burned to CDs. Additionally, they provide a free trial period, so you can grab a couple CDs for free.

This will not be purely a music blog; I will also talk about movies and books.
